Still Learning

Still Learning is Sheffield Buddhist Centre’s education service, providing tours around the Buddhist Centre or workshops and assemblies in your school.

An unmissable opportunity to experience the rich atmosphere of a Buddhist Centre or to bring Buddhism to life in your classroom and ask real Buddhists all your questions.

Tours and Workshops can be tailored to include:

  • Stilling Exercises
  • Artefacts and Shrines
  • Story-telling
  • Questions and Answer sessions
  • Drama/role-play
  • Information about Buddhism
  • The Buddha’s life story
  • Buddhist Ethics and Beliefs
  • Buddhist Doctrine and Teachings
  • Buddhist Statues and Images
  • Talks about Buddhist Festivals

Still Learning is run by Allan Kirkman and Kate Arrowsmith, who are enthusiastic young Buddhists, training for Ordination into the Triratna Buddhist Order.

We also offer INSET days and meditation workshops for teachers and staff. Tours and workshops can be tailor-made for your pupils and learning objectives, for every Key Stage.
