Last weekend Sangha member Edward Lawrence undertook a gruelling 100-mile bike ride to raise funds for People to People, a charity in India providing food, supplies and practical support to people who are unable to work because of lockdown. They’re helping many migrant workers who are trying to return home, undertaking long journeys without money or food.
It was the furthest Edward had ever cycled, and so far he’s raised a massive £790! Triratna Order Member Tejadhamma is part of this project and said, “Because of you, we could distribute 4562 food Kits to slums of Kamptee, 1642 migrant labour benefited by cooked food and 1244 could go to their hometown at Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madyapradesh, Uttarpradesh and other states.”
Incredible work, well done Edward!
