Our introductory courses introduce you to the two most important Buddhist meditation practices, along with radical Buddhist ideas that can give a new vision of what it means to be a human being, and a new depth and meaning to life.
Through a combination of team teaching, discussion and practical exercises, this course is the main gateway to the other Buddhist activities at the centre, and to a friendly, thriving community of Buddhist practitioners.
The course will run at Sheffield Buddhist Centre from Saturday 30th September for 6 weeks, 10:30am – 12:30pm. Don’t worry if you can’t make every session, let us know your availability and we will try and accommodate you. Booking is essential.
Please note that there will be no class on Saturday 7th October (which would have been week 2). The course will continue for the remaining 5 weeks from Saturday 14th October 10:30am.
All Buddhism classes are offered free of charge. Donations are welcome but completely voluntary. The centre is run on the basis of a ‘generosity economy’.
If you visit this page and no places are available, please email us at info@sheffieldbuddhistcentre.org to join the waiting list, or consider booking on the Wednesday evening course instead.
