DESCRIPTION:The highlight of our festival calendar\, Buddha Day marks the a
 nniversary of the Buddha’s Enlightenment. Together we honour this centra
 l event and celebrate the potential for awakening in every being. We come 
 together as Sangha and dwell in the life of the Buddha through story\, col
 lectively taking part in feasting\, meditation\, readings and ritual.\nThe
  main festival programme will start with a big feast at 1pm\, so please br
 ing your best celebration vegan and veggie dishes (and party cakes!). 'Sto
 ries of the buddha' discussion groups and tea break will follow\, and the 
 day will culminate with a festive puja which will include readings about t
 he Buddha’s Enlightenment. For families\, the day will starts earlier at
  10.30am for a lovely morning of different celebratory activities for kids
 .\n\nCome and honour this profound event through meditation\, ritual\, man
 tra\, and storytelling — celebrating and contemplating the mystery.\n\n\
 n\nOpen to anyone who has completed our 12 week introductory course
