This page gives you information on what’s on every week at the Buddhist Centre: Morning Meditation, the Lunchtime Drop in meditation class, Sangha Night, the Lunchtime Meditation class and the Meditation Practice Evening. Please check the Calendar during holidays, timings may vary.

Tuesday 7.30pm-10pm

The liveliest night of the week where everyone involved with the SBC can meet up and explore their spiritual life through talks, meditation, ritual and discussion. A chance to learn something new and invigorate the rest of your week!

This year’s theme is “Thus Have I Heard” – Great Buddhist texts”.

Monday to Friday 7.30am-8.20am

Set up a regular meditation practice by meditating with others first thing. Each session has bells rung for the meditation.


BuddhaMeditation Practice Evening

Friday 7.30pm-9pm

An evening of stillness and meditation. Led by Jayagupta and Dharmapalita.


SBC-rupaLunchtime Drop-in

Tuesday 1pm-2pm

One hour sessions including led body awareness and mindfulness of breathing or development of loving kindness meditation. Ideal for newcomers or anyone looking for a quieter, stiller way to spend their lunch hour. Doors open from 12.30am, and the class starts promptly at 1pm, so if you can, come a little early, giving yourself a chance to ‘arrive’ Suggested donation £5.

The lunch time drop in mediation session is suitable for those who know both meditation practices.
