For Mitras

Mitra means ‘friend’ and refers to someone who has made a commitment, at a special ceremony, to practising as a Buddhist in the FWBO. We provide special events and courses to help mitras deepen their practice and expand their knowledge of Buddhism.

For more info about what a mitra is in the FWBO check out this page.

Sometimes these events are available only to people who have taken the further step of asking for ordination in the Triratna Buddhist Order.

Akasakula with Saddhanandi

Saddhanandi from Taraloka is coming to lead a day for women training for Ordination. A great opportunity to spend the day with a committed and experienced Order Member. The theme is “Turning Jewels into Refuges: Ordination, inner and outer”, exploring the Ordination process in terms of the individual and the collective.
